Do you think someone is stupid just because they failed highschool?

Hi well im just wondering do you guys think somone is stupid for failing highschool.



i just failed but honestly i think its because i didnt try my hardest. Also i was just never really good at school and keeping up with all the stuff, but mainly because my effort.



well some people consider me stupid for that. but honestly i think im just as smart or smarter than alot of kids. i learned alot from watching teh scinece channel, discovery channel, national geographic and also the internet.



like i know alot about the future, global warming, artificial intelligence nature and current events. more then most kids do.



so would you guys consider me still a smart person?Do you think someone is stupid just because they failed highschool?
No, some people just aren't cut out for that type of schooling. My brother who is 20 dropped out of high school when he was 16, and he took this test that said his IQ was that of someone in their second year of college (by the way, this was at the age he dropped out). However, I think that if you did go back, you could probably do a really good job. Believe it or not, I stopped going to school when I was in 8th grade because, like you, I had trouble paying attention. After 2 years of saying I was home-schooled, I decided that I had to go back and started from scratch. Even though I had practically no middle school education, I was able to catch up to the other students, and now my grades are better than most. Don't let others make you feel stupid because they didn't have this problem and don't understand.

Intelligence is the ability to learn. You do have that ability from what you said. Completing any task shows "stick to itiveness" and you didnt do that but is it only due to lack of organization and motivation or also due to parental involvement. Parents who dont do all they can to get a child to complete work and follow through for their education can also be a problem. But kids do so many dumb things that can affect the rest of their life and dont realize it, and not "keeping up with the stuff and motivation" I am afraid will cost you dearly later. Get your GED and move ahead, if you can go to college and get a degree then the high school thing will be in the past. Just Stick to it this time, it is important!
I would not consider you stupid per se, I would consider you lazy for not finishing high school- certainly not smart. Many people like myself with college educations are entirely under employeed in this present economy, if you fail to finish high school, I don't think you will have a prayer in life as far as a job goes. Do your future self a favor, get that high school diploma, it's free! You don't understand how important an education is.
no not stupid. there is a difference between school and real life. Failing is an important stage in learning.
i don't know if failing high school makes you stupid. i do know it's stupid to fail. the job markets world wide are not that easy to get into. and most places look for at least a high school diploma. look at how many kids coming out of college with degrees can't even get a job. also, i believe that had you simply paid attention to the teachers as they went over the subject matter, you should have been able to retain enough information to pass all your classes with a "C" average. so i feel it stupid not to pass, but that doesn't necessarily make you stupid.
Just because you didnt finish high school doesnt make you stupid. Maybe school wasnt for you i mean its not for everyone.

And also if your not book smart than your more than likely street smart or maybe even both.. Dont let people get you down by calling you stupid because most likely your not you just have a different path.
You're not stupid. You mastered a computer well enough to post this question. Don't let low self-esteem spoil your life. Think positive, hold your head up, and work on your good points. Everyone has a talent for something, but some people have to wait a while to get the chance to show it. Einstein was no great shakes at school, and neither was Winston Churchill. I think you are stupid.

Only for the fact that you claim to be so smart, and so savvy when it comes to the way the world works, but yet you choice not to apply yourself when it comes to schoolwork. You weren't smart enough to realize that highschool is such an important part of growing up, and your whole life will be built upon that.



I don't understand, if you claim to be so smart and knowledgeable, then you should have had no problem being successful in highschool. At all.
