Give examples that kids would under stand and it depends on the age group the older the more intelligent. On the examples use daily objects and say this is what happens, stuff like that.How do I costumize my article on the San Andreas Fault to make it fit for/cater to kids?
The same way you target it for any other group ie. use language and concepts they are familiar with as much as possible with explanations where it is not. Short simple sentences and paragraphs. Don't try to pack too much detail in. Summary, the few main points simply expressed.
