Did anyone else see the steroid special that was on national geographic?

if you did, how did you feel about it, do you feel steroids were portrayed in an educated and unbiased manner, for the most part I think the documetry did a decent job of showing both sides but still did not portray them in a realistic manner.. In one part of the documentry they talk about a young kid named Tyler from TX, and how he killed himself due the tremendous depression he felt after stopping his steroid use. However I dont see how steroids could ever cause you to want to commit suicide, moreso I think that he had an pre-existing underlying condition that contributed heavily to his decision. Also in the documentry they mention Tyler's side effects, they mention all of the normal ones, then they go on to say he had bad breath as a side effect,, wtf,, I have never heard or read about that, thought that was mostly due to lack of oral hygene and an abundance of foul smelling bacteria living in your mouth, not anabolic steroids!!Did anyone else see the steroid special that was on national geographic?
You know, I was made aware about this documentary but I don't have the NG channel. I wanted soooo bad to watch it too. I just saw the online previews, and many have said it was fairly unbiased, but not completely. I guess I'm going to have to catch it playing online then.

The suicide connection is such BS! Young adults have a very high suicidal rate, I think it's in the top three (3) causes of death for people aged 12-34 or something similar. So just because they happened to use steroids it's somehow a proven connection??!! WTF?! What if they listened to Heavy Metal? Or cRap? Or they Dressed in Gothic clothing? Or they worked certain jobs like grocery bagging, video stores, car washes, etc...? For some reason the MINORITY of young people who commit suicide and use steroids is more important than the MAJORITY of young people who use hard drugs, listen to certain music, dress in certain clothing or have certain occupations and also commit suicide.

As far as bad breath is concerned, that's just laughable nitpicking. I understand that someone who is using steroids the RIGHT way will adjust their diet accordingly and consume protein rich foods like shakes and meats. They do tend to exacerbate bad breath, but who the F**k cares?! It goes away IF IT EVEN HAPPENS! How do they know he wasn't drinking alcohol? If the kid can get steroids, why can't he get booze? Alcohol WILL cause bad breath if drank on a regular basis in excessive amounts. That's just TWO possibilities out of many that could explain bad breath. I can't believe I spent this much time going into detail about the connection, or lack of, bad breath and steroids.

Anyway, you bring up good points pal, but just like politics and religion, there's always idiots who can't seem to understand the truth or common sense and believe everything they see, hear or are told.
