Cosmetic Surgery or insurance allowed?

Okay, here's the story, I have had my ears pierced since I was just a kid and I used to wear gigantic, heavy earrings in the 80s and 90s and now my earlobes are a little longer than they should be and the ear piercing is very large - I'm talking it's a little National Geographic.

Do you think it's possible to have this covered by insurance somehow to get this fixed? Or would it be considered completely cosmetic surgery?

Any advice is welcomed.Cosmetic Surgery or insurance allowed?
Generally insurance will only cover a cosmetic procedure if it is causing a medical problem. Like excess skin or wrinkles on the top eye lid that is causing vision problems. Or large breasts that are causing back pain. I know 2 people who had surgery for those problems %26amp; it was covered by insurance.

In your case, I don't think there is any way insurance would cover it. It doesn't sound like this is something that would cause a 'problem'. It just doesn't look good. I suggest contacting your insurance company. It will just take a few minutes to call %26amp; ask. I don't think it would cost to much to have that fixed if your insurance doesn't cover it. Talk to your doctor to see how they fix it.
what the heck are you asking me for how the heck am i supposed to know the answer to your freakin questionCosmetic Surgery or insurance allowed?
it would comepletely be considered cosmetic surgery at least there was something wrong with your hearing then the insurance would cover it but its cosmetic surgery to make you look better, insurance only covers health problems, I hope this helps!Cosmetic Surgery or insurance allowed?
Ursula is right, it's cosmetic, so insurance won't cover it....and to think of all the people out there putting spacers in their ears to make those national geographic ears like you are talking about......boy are they ever going to regret that in about 10 years!
