Is Hinduism and Islam full of pedophiles?

In the June 2011 National Geographic, I just read an article about child brides. In India they marry girls as young as 6 to fully grown men. These girls are forcibly removed from their families and forced into arranged marriages. The National Geographic article showed a picture of a 14-year old girl bathing her new-born child as her 2-year-old daughter watched. So she was 14 and already had two kids, which means she was impregnated at 11. This is not some "teen pregnacy" epidemic as we have here in the United States. This was planned and deliberate, and happens with the full support of the girl's parents. Entire villages are aware of it but don't report anything to police because it's their "tradition". Apparently anything, no matter how vile or repugnant or barbaric, is morally okay as long as it is a tradition. Even child rape. Wow... how low will they go? What about slavery, stoning women to death, and burning children alive? Yep, that's okay too. As long as it's part of their "traditional beliefs" then it's deemed morally okay. Interesting ethics. Regarding burning children alive: If a 10-year old girl is married to a 50-year old man and the husband dies shortly thereafter, the girl is made to sit on the body as they are both burned. Apparently... if he can't have her, no one can. I wish I was making this up but I'm not. Child rape, torture, and murder. All moral under the banner of "traditional religious beliefs".

To be fair, the article also mentioned Islamic countries where these forced child marriages take place, so it's not just Hindu people in India. Again, this pedophilia happens with full support of the parents. In fact, the fathers of the girls are often the ones forcing them to marry, knowing full well they'll get raped and beaten by their husbands.

One photo showed a man in police custody who stabbed his 11-year-old wife because she disobeyed him. This man was later released with no charges or punishment. The policewoman who arrested him was later killed by the Taliban.

Does anyone see a problem with this? At what point will you say "I don't care what their religious or traditional beliefs are, what they are doing is just immoral and down-right sick and wrong. They should not be using religion and tradition to hide their perverted crimes."Is Hinduism and Islam full of pedophiles?
To be honest I didn't even read that, but I was raised Hindu as well as my parents, and all of the Hindu people I know frown upon pedophiles. Is Hinduism and Islam full of pedophiles?
You need to better education yourself about the pedophiles in Christianity before you go thinking you're all innocent.

It is has been the custom for mankind to marry girls when they reach puberty since that is when she is actually a woman biologically. Maybe you have heard of the term 'shot gun wedding', well it come from the Christians who forced the these young girls to marry at gunpoint. There is nothing wrong with marrying someone who is by nature considered an adult. The modernization has caused many countries to delay the marriage age for a number of reasons. In the west, the average age has been extended into 20s and 30s. Where as in the developing countries it will take time before the people can start delaying the marriage until the girls are older.

As for the pedophile problem, then none has it worse than the Christians. Have you forgotten about thousands of priests who raped and molested millions of little boys?! Marrying a girl who has passed puberty and still under the age 18 was and still is legal and acceptable in many countries and religions (including Christianity). But the sodomizing of little boys is not acceptable in any country or religion but the Christian priests did it even when they are the ones who are supposed to be talking against this evil. Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed by God because they practiced sodomy.

In conclusion, the Christians need to look at themselves first before they start pointing fingers at others because usually they are the ones who have done worse.
