Don't you feel sorry for people who don't have friends?

I was recently watching a National Geographic documentary and it entails an 18 year old kid who never really had any friends. First off, his only pal was his small dog retriever. Then later on as the documentary played on, he met some people and were "potential friends." A week later, the potential friend asked him to go steal a CD from a record store. Obviously the 18 year old kid knew that it was immoral to do, but did it anyway for social acceptance and approval. I guess he was just desperate or just wanted to talk to someone. In the end, the kid gets caught and a couple of months later, the judge sentences him to stand in public with a sign stating that he stole a CD for public humiliation. I knew what he did was wrong by simply stealing, but I felt so sorry for the kid. What do you think?Don't you feel sorry for people who don't have friends?
that is sad..
Goes to show why some people are *better* off not having those "so-called-friends" in their lives..

Sometimes, it's better to have no friends than friends who really aren't 'friends..'

I bet that those people who asked him to steal the CD weren't there to visit him in jail, or show up to admit fault during jury to 'take the blame.'Don't you feel sorry for people who don't have friends?
No, I think he got what he deserved. He stole something and that is...unmoral as you say.

But I don't feel sad for him because it is his choice to not have friends...unless he had like a big scar on his face or something physically that made people not like him.Don't you feel sorry for people who don't have friends?
yea that would suck im sure a lot of people in that situation would be a lot easier to persuade to do wrong things. I agree with you. it is kinda unfair but it is was still his decison in the end.
